The amount of time I’ve spent going back and forth on this piece is absolutely INSANE!

It started out as a wild, out of the box idea with absolutely no concept at all.

It was just eyes, fire and a “gate”…

Of course I had my ideas, I always do, but how I was going to get it from my head to the canvas was a complete challenge.
Then she was born. Through many drawings she had multiple concepts designed. Each one I thought “this is it, this is the one” till I came to this one final design and I fell in love!

She speaks for herself in all honesty. The gates of hell, a portal of destruction, fire and chaos open up for she has been treated in such treacherous ways for the last time!

Yet she still has a beauty to herself, calm, peaceful… she needed this chaos to erupt. Part of her growth is to let those who wronged her know. There’s no anger like that of those who bottle it up, seal it away till it’s time to let it go…

All paintings are made using lightfast paints and are varnished to stand the test of time.
